Rinse the tomatoes under running water, dry them carefully and cut them into slices. Clean the salad by removing excess water and cut it into thin strips. Divide the bread rolls in half. Preheat the oven to 160°C and line a baking tray with baking paper. Remove the rind from the Fontina and cut it into 8 slices of about 25 grams each, place them on the prepared baking tray and put them in the oven while you continue cooking the meat.
In a large, non-stick frying pan, heat 4 tablespoons of oil and cook the burgers for 4 minutes on each side, turning them halfway through cooking. Once cooked, transfer them to a sheet of paper towels.
Use the same pan to toast the sandwiches, placing them cut side down, and let them brown for about 30-40 seconds.
Spread a thin layer of mustard on the cut surfaces of the sandwiches and start arranging them with two slices of tomato, some salad, a slice of Fontina, a hamburger, another slice of Fontina, and more tomato and salad. Close the buns by pressing them lightly and serve hot.
Bruschette with Fontina AOC, figs and honey are another tasty idea, easy to prepare and above all to eat in company. Remove the rind from the Fontina cheese and cut it into slices, not too thin. Cut the bread slices in half and then toast them on both sides. Turn the oven on to 160° and place the warm bread slices on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Now bake for 8-10 minutes, at least until the cheese has melted. Meanwhile, wash the figs and cut them into 6 wedges. As soon as the bread slices are ready, add the fig wedges on each slice and some honey and then, if you like, sprinkle with pepper and thyme leaves.
Cereal toast with Fontina AOC, strawberries and pink pepper is another tasty way to express all the versatility of Fontina. Place the bread slices on a baking tray lined with baking paper and then with the grill lightly toast them on both sides for a few minutes. Cut the Fontina cheese into slices of about 2.5 cm and a little smaller than the bread slices. Meanwhile, wash the strawberries, remove the stalks from each one and cut them into round slices about 2 cm thick. Now, on each bread bar place first a slice of Fontina and then a few slices of strawberry. If desired, sprinkle with pink pepper and add some balsamic vinegar glaze.

Spinach salad, Fontina AOC, green apple, hazelnuts and pomegranate in fact, it is very simple to prepare.
Start by washing and drying the spinach. Now prepare the ingredients: shell half a pomegranate, squeeze the lemon and wash the apple; then cut it into quarters but without removing the skin and without removing the core. Now cut the apple into segments and then dip them into the previously squeezed lemon juice. Take the hazelnuts and cut them into small pieces and toss them in a frying pan, without seasoning, to brown them. Remove the rind from the Fontina cheese and cut it into cubes. After draining the apples, combine all the ingredients in a bowl and then season to taste.
